statistics. Here you will find the latest data of The Statistics Division
made available to you as soon as they are finalized;

Statistics Information Links (ASIL) Internet links to
various statistical sites around the world, where information is being
provided. This facility has been established to be a repository of
current, and more importantly, future statistics- URLs, which are
expected. These pages will be an important national dissemination tool in
the coming years. The number of sites available in the developed world is
obviously growing rapidly, but still there are few or no sites available
in Central America, The Middle East or Africa. There is every expectation

World Food Survey The main conclusion of the survey is
that in the developing countries as a whole, per caput dietary energy
supplies have continued to increase so that during the two decades from
1970 the prevalence of food inadequacy declined: twenty percent of the
total population had inadequate access to food in 1990-92 as compared with
35 percent two decades ago. Nevertheless, the number of people with
inadequate f ood still remained high - one out of five in the developing
