Seminar on a New Partnership to Strengthen Agricultural and Rural Statistics in Africa for Poverty Reduction and Food Security
16-17 September 2002

A high-level seminar is to be held in Paris, France, on 16-17 September 2002 (at the Kleber International Conference Center) under the auspices of the PARIS21 Consortium and with the support of the FAO, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the World Bank, the African Development Bank, and other co-operation agencies.
The purpose is to discuss ways and means for achieving significant, co-ordinated improvement in the contribution of national agricultural statistical systems to poverty reduction and food security.
