Activities in the Component 1.4 of the EuFMD workplan aim to improve the overall preparedness against the FAST diseases in the South Eastern Europe (SEE) region. This also includes activities for improvement of the proficiency and capacity of the designated national laboratories.

The objective of this this workshop is improved knowledge on the referent molecular methods and protocols for FMDV typing (including sequencing), tools for sequence data analysis and use of obtained sequence data in the context of improved disease control.
