Following the EuFMD proposal to establish a regional Group for Vaccination Advice, guidance and consultation (GVA) made up of national experts in vaccinology (including immunology, vaccine manufacturing, evaluation of efficacy and effectiveness, and vaccination strategies), the EuFMD will be organizing the 1st online meeting of the regional Group for Vaccination Advice, guidance, and consultation (GVA) for North Africa, which will be held virtually on 30 November 2020.  

The objectives of the meeting are to:  

•Introduce the Group for Vaccination Advice, Guidance and Consultation (GVA) for Foot-and-mouth and similar transboundary animal diseases (FAST);  

•Establishment of the core group of GVA for North Africa;

•Review the vaccination strategies and vaccines used in the region of North Africa;  

•Share information on the available results of recent sero-surveillance, immunogenicity and other post-vaccination monitoring studies;

•Reflection on the GVA work plan and next steps.
