The Standing Technical Committee is called upon for guidance on specific technical issues, including the design of a co-ordinated programme of studies on vaccines and vaccination, and issues such as standardization of tests used for international trade. The STC offers guidance to the EuFMD on technical matters, also through review of the latest research, and provides expert scientific opinion.
The STC meets every six months, and holds an Open Session every two years.
