The EuFMD facilitates and participates in multiple regional FMD workshops in many regions around world and have forged a coherent global strategy though coordination with countries and partners since its establishment in 1954.
Regional workshops often can help to create an improved system for monitoring and evaluation, improve capacities, methods and guidelines for application progressive FMD control strategy. In addition, coordination meetings can help improve international FMD reference laboratory services and their contributions to regional epidemiology surveillance networks.
