The virtual Learning (vLearning) platform is an online Moodle-based learning management system providing users access to self-study and tutor led courses that aims:

• to develop capacity in emergency preparedness for incursions of FMD And Similar Transboundary animal diseases into free countries; and
• equip veterinary services in countries not currently FAST-free with the skills needed for the control of the disease.

Training courses and cascading

• Open-Access Courses:
  • provide self-paced training which you may study anytime, anywhere, free of charge.
• Tutored courses:
  • blended courses made up of self-study learning modules supported by expert tutors who lead discussions and live webinars;
  • may be nationally tailored to national plans and procedures, available for nominated learners.
• Cascading resources:
  • archive of cascading and microlearning tools that can be used by learners who have previously completed an EuFMD course to share their knowledge.
