The European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (EuFMD)

Component 2.1 South-East Europe: better FMD management in Turkey and neighbour states

This component helps with providing training in the practical application of epidemiology to control Foot-and-mouth Disease by engaging with national veterinary services of Turkey and Transcaucasus countries to support them in the detection, management, and control of FMD, and identification of circulating viruses. This also includes support for the West Eurasia Roadmap for progressive control of FMD.

Georgia and Turkey are Member Nations of EuFMD, and have FAO Offices and representatives. Implementation in each country will be in consultation with those Offices.
