Activities under this component are carried out in order to assist the improvement of guidance to FMD endemic countries engaged in the PCP-FMD (assessment tool, courses, templates and guidance documents), and the strengthening of the PCP-FMD Support Officer (PSO) system; provide direct support to the functional efficiency of the GF-TADs FMD Working Group and the roll-out of its activities including the organization of regular regional meetings for FMD control (Roadmap meetings, Epi and lab Network meetings); and support the engagement of regional institutional bodies and regional technical network of experts on disciplines related to the PCP-FMD, strategy development and implementation.

This component also aims at increasing visibility on the Global FMD Control Strategy implementation, and its impact, through communication and online presence.
Activities involves collection of data at global level from countries working through the PCP-FMD, that could be used with partners to assess the global FMD surveillance, the level of FMD control implementation, and the risk of introduction in disease free areas.
