Agricultural extension in Kazakhstan

The aim of the project is to strengthen and expand the Kazakh extension system in “depth, breadth and local participation”. “Depth” means the involvement of new areas in Kazakh extension services, such as food safety, environmental management, food processing and agribusiness. “Breadth” refers to the connection of new partners while “local participation” focuses on the priorities of communities and villages in extension planning. Project expected outputs are a  national  forum  for  inclusive  extension  planning,  three demonstration    projects   and recommendations from these initiatives. A successful implementation of the project will allow the spread of good practices to other countries in the region.
