Regional Workshop on World Trade Organization and Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union

The regional Office for Europe and Central Asia will co-organize a workshop with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and FAO Representation in Armenia. The objective of the workshop is to discuss agricultural aspects of trade policy and international integration.

A wide range of participants will attend including representatives from Eurasian Economic Union member countries, from the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Ministries of Agriculture in Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, academic institutions, agribusinesses, World Trade Organization and FAO experts.

The workshop will discuss issues of regional agreements, customs unions and their compatibility with WTO regulations, the modification of tariff commitments of WTO member countries, domestic support to the agriculture of the countries of Eurasian Economic Union under the rules of WTO, legislation and practice of formation of a single market in the Eurasian Economic Union, technical regulation and SPS measures in EAEU and WTO.
