Within a scientific programme for the 63rd Annual EAAP Meeting 2012  to be held in Bratislava, Slovakia (Monday 27 August – Friday 31st August 2012) a Symposium on the efficiency in ruminant husbandry will take place.

The event will be jointly organized by FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia, Cattle Commission and Central and Eastern European Working Group of European Federation for Animal Production and Animal Production Research Centre, Nitra, Slovak Republic.

The morning session will be devoted to Efficiency and optimization in ruminant husbandry. Mr Kuipers and Mr Mihina will chair the morning session. The afternoon session will be devoted to Efficiency, competitiveness and structure of ruminant husbandry in Eastern Europe and will be chaired by Mr. Rozstalnyy and Mr. Svitojus. Leading experts in ruminant sector from Central and Eastern European countries are expected to participate in the event.
