Regional Workshop on the review of draft International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures

15-19 July 2013, Moscow/Bykovo, Russian Federation

One of the main purposes of International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) of FAO is to harmonize the approaches and procedures of countries at export and import of plants and plant products. The Workshop will focus on the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) sent by IPPC for country consultation. It is designed to promote the implementation of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) and ISPMs in English and Russian languages. Considering the above-mentioned the Regional Workshop for 19 countries (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Montenegro, Russian Federation, Serbia, TFYR of Macedonia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan) to review draft International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures will be organized for the representatives of National Plant Protection Organizations of the above mentioned countries.
The related workshop will be organized jointly by FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (REU) and the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization /EPPO/.
