FAO and EU Partnership

Emergency and rehabilitation projects

The European Commission humanitarian aid department (ECHO) might ask FAO to submit intention letters in order to give a global view on how each interested partner expects to cover the identified needs in response to a Humanitarian Implementation Plan (HIP). Only if an intention letter is selected, the partner will be invited to submit a Single form through the e-single tool.

For the project formulation, an inter-disciplinary Project Task Force may be established and a Lead Technical Unit (LTU) appointed to guide the process from the technical point of view.

The completed electronic Single Form needs to be sent to the relevant ECHO geographic desk. The eligibility date for eventual retroactive expenditures can eventually be established, as appropriate.
