Niger: census of agriculture and livestock

The Government of Niger, the European Union and FAO conclude a 4 year-general census of agriculture and livestock

An innovative survey has uncovered unsuspected agricultural riches in Niger, one of the world’s poorest countries.
Niger’s first-ever agriculture and livestock census has just revealed a surprizing treasure trove of resources, including 30 million heads of livestock - 30 percent more than previously assumed.
