FAO Director-General addresses European Development Days
Addressing the European Development Days high-level panel discussion on ‘Growing a better future for farmers’, FAO’s Director-General described a model for sustainable small-scale farming, known as ‘Save and grow’, which aims at producing more with less. The Director-General also highlighted the key role of agricultural cooperatives in generating employment, reducing poverty and improving food security in the world.
