يتمثل الهدف الاستراتيجي الأول للمنظمة  في "الإسهام في استئصال الجوع وانعدام الأمن الغذائي وسوء التغذية". حيث عاين التقييم القيمة المضافة للهدف الاستراتيجي الأول بشأن جهود المنظمة لتعزيز الأمن الغذائي والتغذية على المستويات العالمية والإقليمية والوطنية في الفترة من عام 2014 إلى عام 2017. وخلص إلى أن تصميم الهدف الاستراتيجي الأول تم بشكل جيد، وشدد على أهمية الالتزام السياسي للحد من الجوع وسوء التغذية، وروج للنُّهُج القائمة على الحقوق في دعم سياسات المنظمة، وسلط الضوء على الحاجة إلى العمل مع الوزارات [...]
