Promoting stakeholder engagement in evaluation processes: the FAO case (Orginal Spanish: Promoviendo la participación de los principales actores y clientes en procesos de evaluación. El caso de la FAO)
The presentation, made at UNIDO’s Evaluation Workshop organized in Mexico City in May 2017, highlights the importance of promoting stakeholder engagement in evaluation processes. The case of the “Evaluation of FAO’s contribution to Guatemala (2013-2016)” was presented as an example, showing engagement actions taken at different stages of the process to enhance the relevance, credibility and ownership of the evaluation, and thereby the use of the evaluation results. The presentation also introduces the 7-point principles for stakeholder engagement developed by the United Nations Evaluations Group.
