Traditional products promoted by regional marketing

The project is an initiative of 21 regional restaurants and inns, which have developed their own common brand and are offering the traditional cuisine of the region, based on quality products. Cooperation around the ALMO concept has covered the entire production chain for high quality beef. The project was developed in close cooperation with a regional manufacturer of delicacies. Both actions are incorporated into a comprehensive partnership consisting of municipalities, farmers and tour operators. The main idea of this project is to promote and strengthen the market position of the Almo region, under the name of „Genussregion”, which literally means „recreation area” for tourists. The project started in response to the need to valorise the assets of this region, from its unique landscape, pastures and traditional agricultural practices that underlie the high-quality strategies in meat production and „culinary tourism” to the exquisite regional cuisine. An important goal of the project is the generation of Traditional products promoted by regional marketing „regional economic cycles”, i.e. maximizing the regional inputs for production chains in various fields. To meet the need of this project, a business plan was  developed and, with the help of a consultant specialized in agricultural/economic development; the applicants prepared the grant application, taking advantage of the skills and knowledge of their partner.
