ACTUAR - is a non-profit-making Portuguese association, founded in 2007 with the objective of helping to promote development, especially in rural areas, while privileging the most marginalised groups such as small producers and women. Its main area of intervention is the Lusophone rural world, where it fights to protect and promote human rights, contributing to a more just and more humane world that eliminates all forms of social exclusion and inequality and that guarantees basic rights for everyone, including the human right to adequate food, which is enabled by access to and control over land and other natural resources.
