Africa is in a development trajectory with economy growing at an average of 5% per year and the middle class witnessing an expansion.

Africa’s agricultural potential is largely untapped, with approximately 60% of the world’s non-cultivated arable land found in sub-Saharan Africa. A few countries have a well-established farming, food manufacturing and retail sector that caters for both the domestic and international markets.

The Codex Alimentarius Commission offers a solution to unlocking the potential in increased food consumption ,growing economies and need for new food market access for the CCAFRICA member states.
