The CCEURO Region - Regional Coordinator Kazakhstan

At the CAC of July 2017 Kazakhstan was officially appointed as the new Coordinator for the European region, the first time a country from Central Asia has held the position.

Currently the Coordinating Committee for Europe has 52 members: 51 Member Countries and 1 Member Organization (EU). The Codex Team, located in the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is responsible for managing the work as Coordinator for the European region.

EFSA / communication and common ground key to working together

A team from the FAO Food Safety and Quality Unit together with representatives from the Codex Secretariat and the FAO Nutrition Department travelled to Parma, Italy today to meet with the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA). Coordinator for Europe in Armenia and Moldova to promote participation in Codex

A delegation led by the Codex Alimentarius Regional Coordinator for Europe, Nailya Karsybekova, visited the Republic of Armenia from 29 to 30 April and the Republic of Moldova on May 2 and 3, to enhance participation of these countries in Codex. Kazakhstan pushes to enhance regional potential

The Codex European region comprises 52 countries with widely diverse economic, historic and climatic backgrounds as well as differing levels of experience in engaging with Codex. Workshop in Azerbaijan reveals ideal mix for National Codex Committee

Workshop in Europe focuses on Codex Strategic Plan and web tools

Workshop in Portugal boosts agri-food interest in Codex

A seminar, "Codex Alimentarius in Portugal", was held on 22 June in Lisbon for agri-food sector experts, public and private, including competent authorities and public bodies, associations of different production chains, universities and laboratories.
