 GENERAL INFORMATION The 49th Session of the Codex Committee on Food Hygiene (CCFH) will take place from November 13–17, 2017, in Chicago, Illinois, at InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile. The plenary session will open on Monday, November 13, at 09:30 a.m. and conclude after the report adoption on Friday, November 17. On Sunday, November 12, on-site registration (to collect your badges and other materials) will take place from 12:00 – 18:00, however there will be no physical Working Groups that day. The session will be conducted in English, French and Spanish. ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION The U.S. Codex Office is using the Codex Online Registration System (ORS) to register delegates for the CCFH meeting, via the link here below. Please note that the invitation to CCFH49 issued by FAO and WHO requests that delegates register by October 13, 2017. Login and password for the online registration have been provided to all Codex Contact Points and Contact Point of Observers Organizations. If the login and password have not been received, please contact [email protected]. We would encourage all delegates who expect to attend CCFH49 to register well in advance to ensure that appropriate seating arrangements will be available for them at the meeting. Please note that the CCFH meeting registration is a separate process from the hotel reservations for sleeping accommodations at the Intercontinental Hotel (please see section CCFH49 Venue Hotel in the Information for Delegates here below). Those who will require a visa to enter the United States are strongly encouraged to begin the visa application process as soon as possible. Most delegates will be considered “independent travelers” and will need to apply for a B1/B2 visa. SIDE EVENTS • Side event on management of (micro)biological foodborne outbreaks/ crises: Monday, November 13, 12:30-13:30 (See presentations: European Commission, Denmark, Mars). • Side event on allergens, Tuesday, November 14, 11:30-14:00 (See presentations: Taylor, Kobielush, Jackson). DOCUMENTS Delegates are requested to bring their own documentation to the meeting. This documentation is available in English, French and Spanish in the table here below. |
