GENERAL INFORMATION

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CCFL46 was postponed from 2020 to 2021.

provisional timetableThe 46th Session will be held virtually on 27 September to 1 October 2021 (21:00 – 24:00 (CET). Report adoption is scheduled for 7 October 2021 (21:00 – 24:00 CET).

The working group on FOPNL will be held virtually on 21 and 22 September 2021 (21:00 – 24:00 CET).
A meeting for 1st time delegates will be held on 16 September at 21:00 (CET).

All work scheduled for consideration by CCFL46 will continue through the mechanisms agreed by CCFL45 (e.g. EWG within the mandates given by CCFL45).

INFORMATION FOR DELEGATES

The Codex Secretariat has prepared a guidance for Members and Observers to facilitate the smooth running of Codex virtual meetings. Codex members and observers participating in the upcoming virtual meeting are kindly invited to consult the "Information for Delegates" webpage and in particular to read the Guidance to participants of virtual meetings available in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Russian.

CCFL46 is scheduled for 27 September to1 October 2021. The last time the Committee met was in May 2019. A lot has happened in the meanwhile and to help prepare for the upcoming CCFL46, a webinar was held on 9 June 2021 from 21:00 – 22:30 (CEST) to provide an update on work and the key issues related to labelling of non-retail containers, front of pack nutrition labelling, allergen labelling and guidance on internet sales, amongst others.
