Innovative working groups prove useful in facilitating finalization of AMR texts on time

The final session of the Ad hoc Codex Intergovernmental Task Force on Antimicrobial Resistance (TFAMR8) will take place virtually from 4 to 9 October 2021, with the adoption of the report scheduled for 13 October. A decisive moment for Codex and AMR

Republic of Korea / FAO agreement begins with USD 10 million AMR Codex project

On July 20 the Republic of Korea signed an agreement with FAO placing food safety at the centre of their joint agenda. The first USD 10 million project under the framework arrangement will focus on the implementation and monitoring of Codex standards to support the containment and reduction of foodborne antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
