Constitutional provisions

Right to water: No provisions regarding the right to water.

Natural resources: All land and all natural resources below and above the surface of the territory of Eritrea belongs to the State (Art. 23). Article 8 requires the State, in the interest of present and future generations, to be responsible for managing all land, water, and natural resources, for ensuring their management in a balanced and sustainable manner.
