United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), which has always given priority to the process of learning and finding solutions for farmers, developed Farmer Field Schools in the 1980s. In addition, other United Nations agencies, national and international non-governmental organizations, government agencies, farmers 'organizations and a growing number of partners from the private sector continue to use and support Farmers Field Schools globally.

Through a programmed learning process, Farmer Field Schools help farmers to strengthen their self learning capacities, develop strong critical and analytical skills, and make decisions on stronger agricultural production systems.

In this context, the FAO Sub-Regional Office for Central Asia and Turkey Representation, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of establishment of Farmer Field Schools, will be pleased to welcome the members of the press to the celebration event.

Unfortunately no webcast will be planned for this celebration.

Location: Konya, Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Hotel
