Biodiversity can contribute to food security as well as better nutrition and health; it contributes to climate change adaptation, and strengthens local cultural identity, tradition and know how.
ROMA CITTÀ CAMPAGNA: AGRICULTURE, FOOD AND BIODIVERSITY
Reflecting together on new linkages between food, agriculture and territory in our urban scenery.
It is a round table organized by the Municipality of Rome in collaboration with FAO Food for cities and Bioversity International which will be held on 21 May 2010. It will consist in a discussion on cities, food and nutrition, agriculture, and biodiversity. In the framework of La Settimana della Biodiversità - taking place in Rome from 20 to 23 May 2010 - consisting in conferences, roundtables, workshops for schoolchildren, a documentary film festival, photo exhibitions, concerts and readings.
