What elements can a term have?
Why aren't the terms listed in FAO's five official languages?
Choose the language, enter the first few letters of the term you are interested in and click Search. You will be provided a list of terms that begin with the letters you entered.
Select the letter and language you are interested in and click Search. You will be provided a list of terms that begin with that letter.
Select the subject area and language you are interested in and click Search. You will be provided a list of terms in your requested subject area. You can click on any of the terms to see the details.
Click on the "Suggest new terms" button on the Home page or on any of the Search pages. An email screen will be generated with "Glossary Suggestion" in the subject line and addressed to the Glossary manager at FAO.
A button is provided on the display page for each term. If you click on this button, an email screen is generated which puts the term you are referring to in the subject line and the FAO owner of the term in the To: line.
A term can have the following elements: Definition, Example, Comment, Image and 'See Also' references to other terms.
The Glossary items will eventually be published in the five official languages of FAO (Arabic, Chinese, English, French and Spanish). As the translations are completed, the glossary items will be updated.
