| English | The December 2011 issue of FAN contains an editorial on "Biennium 2010-2011 recap and what's in store for biennium 2012-2013" which provides a summary of the main achievements of the FAO aquaculture group in response to the requests made by member countries. The aquaculture highlights include articles on the coming 6th Session of the COFI Sub-Committee on Aquaculture; outputs of the 13th Session of the COFI Sub-Committee on Fish Trade; "Colombo Declaration" strengthens regional cooperation in aquaculture development; Implication of climate change on fisheries and aquaculture for adaptation and mitigations and strengthening fisheries and aquaculture assessment; Aquaculture Network for Africa (ANAF): web site data collection and dissemination tools; aquafeed production, species diversification, desert and arid lands aquaculture development in Namibia; Western Central Atlantic Fishery Commission; Training course on aquaculture zoning and carrying capacity; New aquaculture projects in the Pacific; Development of a Pacific Aquaculture Regional Cooperative Programme; Future sub-regional Aquaculture Network in Micronesia, the Pacific; Training course on aquaculture, aquatic animal health and food safety for fisheries/aquaculture specialist and veterinarians.
