More about URL filters
The above URL's do have already a filter on period. The URL for retrieving data can be defined in such e way that a subset of the dataset is returned. The URL is then specified with a filter. Below some filter examples are given for the CAPTURE dataset. These filters can be applied to all the above datasets. Note that the periodfilter is inclusive, so 2005-2010 is 6 years, not 5.

Capture data with only a filter on the period 2005-2006	repository/data/CAPTURE/all/FAO?startPeriod=2005&endPeriod=2006
Capture 2005-2006, Area 34, UN Country 810, Species CLU over 2005-2006	repository/data/CAPTURE/34.810.CLU/FAO?startPeriod=2005&endPeriod=2006

Known Issue
The max number of years that can be selected is 5, more years will not be served (most past years will be cut off). The datasets would be too large for the current server to handle. This will be resolved in the future by moving to a bigger server and using other formats than the SDMX generic format (other formats are the current existing SDMX compact format and the future SDMX JSON format).
