Programme Coordination Unit (FIDP) assists management of the department in the preparation of technical and policy advice and in organizing and coordinating planning and programming. It also works to maintain liaison with other units of the Organization and other Organizations to ensure consideration of issues within the Department's fields. The unit is also involved at the department level in both quantitative and qualitative analysis of the technical programme. In addition, it provides administrative support in various areas at the department level when necessary.
