Fisheye  In its simple form, the fisheye is a triangular or rectangular shaped cut made in the netting. An aluminium or steel frame is more commonly used to provide an elliptical or "eye shaped" rigid escape opening. The poor swimming ability of prawns and the location of the fisheye in the top of the codend reduces their chances of escape. |
