| Species EnvironmentFound near the bottom. Feeds on fishes and squids. Young feed mainly on euphausiids, but the diet becomes polyphagous with growth. Cannibalism has been observed in larger individuals. It is a bathydemersal species living in deep waters (between 200-1 000 m).
