In conclusion of the project which has involved GFCM member countries, the Consultation on the Application of Article 9 of the FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries in the Mediterranean Region will center on the problems which have been identified for the application of the Code, which may have emerged during the preparation of the national reports. Two documents will be discussed: Synthesis of the National Reports and the Elements for an Action Plan for the Promotion of Responsible Aquaculture in the Mediterranean Region, which will be crucial in deriving at ideas from the countries to be proposed to the donors for implementation.
