The Cape Eleuthera Institute and Centre for Sustainable Design is a teaching and research organization located in Rock Sound, Eleuthera, Bahamas. Students and researchers collaborate on sustainability-oriented activities including marine conservation, mangrove and native plant restoration, ocean waste recycling, rainwater harvesting, biochar production, water recycling, environmental landscape design and many others. An aquaponics system is among the efforts to reduce the food import bill for the students and staff, producing tilapia and salad greens for the kitchen.
