Database on Port State Measures

The Database on Port State Measures (Port-Lex) provides access to port state measures (PSM) adopted by states to prevent, deter and eliminate Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated fishing (IUU fishing). Information can be accessed through a simple word search or advanced search using country names or measure components. See the coverage section for more on the search terms. [more...]

By port state
	Select a country	[?] A search by a port state or by a regional economic integration organization will display all measures that apply in that port.	Search	Clear

By type of measure
	Select type

By year of adoption
	Insert year	[?] Search by year will display all measures that were adopted that year.

By species
	Insert species name	[?] A search by a species will display all measures targeting that particular species and measures targeting "all aquatic species." Type "scientific name", name in English, French or Spanish, or "3-alpha code". For generic measures, type "all aquatic species".

By flag of vessel
	Select vessel group	[?] Search by a vessel group will display measures targeting that specified vessel group only. A search by e.g. "foreign vessels" will not give you measures targeting "all vessels," and vice versa. In order to obtain all relevant measures, no vessel group should be selected.

	Select flag of vessel	[?] Activate by selecting "selected flag of vessels" in the menu above.	Select RFMO	[?] Activate by selecting "RFMO vessels" or "Non-RFMO vessels" in the menu above.

By competence area
	Select area	[?] Search by an area will display measures targeting that specified area only. A search by e.g. "high seas" will not give you measures targeting "all waters," and vice versa. In order to obtain all relevant measures, no area should be selected.

Select coastal state

[?] Activate by selecting "selected coastal-state area" in the menu above.

Select RFMO

[?] Activate by selecting "RFMO area" in the menu above.
