e | Factors for the Conversion of Fish and Fish Product Landed Weights to Live Weight Equivalents.
This database contains the factors used by national fishery statistical offices to convert landed fish weights to live weight equivalents for a wide variety of fish products prepared on board fishing vessels. The species include fish, crustaceans, molluscs, aquatic invertebrates and aquatic plants. The factors are collated through enquiries to national fishery statistical offices, undertaken occasionally starting with 1985. The data on which the retrieval system is based are published as FAO/Fisheries Circular C847 (Rev.1) "Conversion factors from landed to live weight", copies of which can be requested to FIES-Inquiries@fao.org.

Key Features- Conversion factors are listed by country, species, and product form.
System Requirements- At present a stand alone PC application. Please note that the software does not handle screen resolutions lower than that for which the program was written. Changing the setting of the PC display properties may overtake the problem (the program certainly runs at 1280x1024 pixels).
