Functional group 24: Leatherback turtle
A single species group, the Leatherback turtle (Dermochelys coriacea) spends its’ entire life pelagically, feeding almost exclusively on gelatinous zooplankton.

Functional group 25: Other sea turtles
This group includes at least four species which include pelagic life history stages. Adults of these species move out of the pelagic ecosystem and into coastal and reef areas as they mature.
