2013 Survey - Questionnaire on national agriculture and food product classifications
This survey was carried out with the aim to assess countries’ practices and the extent to which international standards are implemented, in particular to the Central Product Classification (CPC) of the United Nations; to understand how classifications are stored, maintained and disseminated; and to identify country needs on technical assistance.
This project ran from 2007 to 2017. CountrySTAT is a web-based information system for food and agriculture statistics at regional, national and subnational levels aimed at improving access to food and agricultural statistics, to support data analysis and evidence-based decision making and facilitate informed policy making and monitoring with the goal of eradicating extreme poverty and hunger.
This initiative ran from 2007 to 2011. The Group gathered together statisticians and economists in national statistical offices and in multilateral organization with the common aim to improve methods for collecting data on rural development, communities, and farm and non-farm households and to promote the refinement and adoption of international standards in statistics for rural areas and agriculture household incomes.
