The role of cities to address nutritional and environmental challenges
On Tuesday, 12 October (12:45 –14:15 CEST) FAO will virtually host a Side Event of the 49 Committee on World Food Security (CFS).
The Webinar - Addressing Nutrition and Environmental Challenges: The Role of Cities and Local Governments for Inclusive and Sustainable Food Systems Transformation - is expected to raise awareness and promote the exchange of experiences on challenges and opportunities that governments of various levels and their stakeholders face in addressing food systems transformation, in particular ensuring affordable, accessible, healthy and sustainable diets for all.
Multi-level governance and transformation are directed towards the urgent realisation of inclusive, equitable, sustainable, and resilient food systems that support access to safe and healthy diets for all.
We expect to hear diverse perspectives and experiences from multiple stakeholders. It is indeed timely and urgent to work together to build political momentum and expand buy-in/engagement.
