A summary of the results is published within a few weeks of a JECFA meeting.

This summary includes the main conclusions drawn, including health-based guidance values established and the case of evaluations of residues of veterinary drugs also recommendations on Maximum Residue Limits.

Toxicological and intake monographs are published after the meetings in the WHO Food Additive Series (FAS).

These summarise the data used in the Committee’s risk assessments and provide full references to the relevant literature.

The monographs that have been published are available from INCHEM, information on which is available at the WHO web site.

FAO JECFA Monographs

Specifications for the identity and purity of food additives and flavourings developed at JECFA meetings are published in the Compendium of Food Additive Specifications in the FAO JECFA Monographs series.

Monographs on veterinary drug residues, which summarise the data used for recommending MRLs, are also published in the FAO JECFA Monographs series from the 66th meeting onwards.

Those from previous meetings were published in the FAO Food and Nutrition Paper series No. 41.

Documents are available online from the food additives, flavouring agents and residues of some veterinary drugs in animals and foods databases.
