THE STORY OF MARIA RODRIGUEZ

A busy life

As part of a series of photo journals on how the TeleFood programme helps needy families, a resident of rural Venezuela talks about her daily life.

My name is Maria Antonia Rodriguez. I am 34 years old and live in Campo Alegre, a settlement on the plains of Venezuela. The settlement name means happy land.

I have four children, three girls and a boy, aged 10, 13, 15 and 16. That's my son José on his bicycle. He is named after his father.

This is our street. I'm on my way home from my part-time job as a babysitter and José has come to meet me.
