Mandate

The Contracting Parties shall pursue a comprehensive policy for the preservation and protection of the Alps. The Convention is a framework convention with protocols such as for: Population and culture, Air pollution, Soil protection, Water management, Mountain agriculture, Traffic, Energy, Land use planning and sustainable development , Nature and landscape management and protection, Waste management, Mountain forests, Tourism.
