Common Information Framework for forest-related reporting
National forest-related reporting is requested by several conventions, agreements, intergovernmental agencies and non-legally binding processes.CPF Information Framework provides an environment for sharing information on forests that facilitates access to information, minimizes reporting burden, and maximizes the use of information provided.
The forest-related information reported to these instruments and organizations falls into two broad categories:
- actions taken to implement international commitments;
- situation and trends in ecological, social and economic aspects of forests.
- by country
- by process (international processes that require and receive national reports)
- by thematic element (seven thematic elements of sustainable forest management)
