Agricultural Research Funding Sources

Scientist in laboratory This guide provides access to funding resources for agricultural research scientists. It makes available information of donors and sponsors at regional and global levels offering funding opportunities for research training, travel, and projects.

Looking for funds can be an arduous and time consuming task. The objective of this Guide is to provide quick access to funding sources and to facilitate researches with a high quality reviewed list organized with categories that take into accounts their specific needs.

It also provides access to global and regional on-line agricultural research directories and services. The directories recommend a collection of links to other funding directories and resources like how to write a good research funding proposal.

FAO is not a donor organization. The request for funding should be addressed directly to the donors listed in this guide. This tool has been developed jointly by the Research and Technology Development Service of FAO (SDRR), the Collaborative Partnership on Forestry (CPF) and the International Foundation for Science (IFS). They all collaborate in its update and maintenance.
