About national forest programme UPDATEThe nfp UPDATE is a data base available on the web which provides easy access to:
Information is provided on a voluntary basis by nfp focal points. This web-based platform targets forestry administrations and organizations as well as in-country stakeholders including academics, researchers, consultants and the international community involved in national forestry programme formulation and implementation. It enables the reader to compare nfp approaches and progress in different countries and to appreciate forest policy, legal and institutional initiatives. Information provided in English, French or Spanish is not translated, while Arabic, Chinese and Russian reports are translated into English for a wider audience. The nfp UPDATE is the latest information made available to FAO on national forest programmes. It is expected to be updated at least on a biennial basis.
