How to register a cultivar

• Select a suitable name (consult the IPC International Cultivar Registration Authority to avoid duplicates)
• Publish the name and a description of the cultivar in a suitable form, e.g. a journal.
• Fill in the registration form and summary description in all its parts and send it (together with copy of the original publication) to:

• The Subcommittee for Nomenclature and Registration of the IPC will verify the documents submitted. If all conditions for registration are fulfilled, the cultivar epithet is "established". As soon as the IPC publishes an update or an addendum to the register, the cultivar is "accepted".
