Tropical Forest Management and Climate Change Adaptation

Session organisers/chairs:

Manuel Guariguata (Center for International Forestry Research, Indonesia)

This session coincides with topic 2h and will contain presentations on the biophysical, social, institutional, and economic basis of tropical forest management (natural and planted stands) in the context of global climate change.  It will consider papers on how to either enhance or maintain the adaptive capacity of tropical forests for production and/or conservation objectives, either within or outside the forest itself—so they can fulfil their critical mitigation role.
