15 May 2015 The United Nations Programme on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries (UN-REDD Programme) is a collaboration between FAO, UNDP and UNEP. Within the partnership, FAO supports countries on technical issues related to national forest monitoring systems (NFMS), the development of cost effective and reliable Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) processes and tools for emission reductions, forest reference levels and forest reference emission levels, as well as on forest governance, tenure and legal issues in the context of REDD+ activities. The Organization therefore wishes to recruit a UN-REDD technical advisor to coordinate support and ensure technical consistency in Latin America and support the Organisation’s coordination efforts in the region with the other UN-REDD agencies and other multilateral partners and initiatives.
